CBCT & DECISION MAKING: THE IMPACT OF 3D IMAGING ON ENDODONTIC TREATMENT PLANNING
Friday, 11 Nov
Two-dimensional imaging diagnosis has always been a crucial moment in defining the diagnosis before and the treatment plan after. We know that the limits of two-dimensional radiology in some situations do not allow the clinician to make an objective evaluation by inserting, into the evaluation, an interpretative component which in medicine can lead to many errors. The aim of the lecture is to educate the clinician on the correct use of CBCT by comparing two-dimensional and three-dimensional images to increase confidence and increase diagnostic skills.
Today the clinician cannot do without this technology which, together with other devices (intraoral scanners, 3D printed etc.), has effectively introduced the digital age into the endodontic discipline.
