Modern Endodontics is increasingly supported by digital world. New equipment, devices, techniques take advantage of the acquisition and processing of digital data to better investigate the root canal features and surrounding tissues anatomy as well as the whole surgical field. Furthermore, digital imaging is often determinant to address a proper decision making process and treatment plan and to collect imaging and clinical data for adequate patient instruction and diffusion of knowledge. This new concept is valid for both complex surgical and non-surgical endodontic cases. The aim of the lecture is to present an overview on modern digital endodontics, emphasizing the actual ease of chair-side procedures and the future developments for further simplification and efficacy.
